Dear All,
It
was lovely to see all the children back at school at the beginning of
September. They have all settled quickly back into routine and are working
hard!

We
have now planned most of our events for this term, which you will find on the
back of this letter. Most of the dates are firm, although it may be necessary
to change some at short notice. If this happens we will try to give you as much
notice as possible.
We
were pleased to see some new faces at our INFO meeting on Monday night. We
would still gladly welcome new members, so please come along to our next
meeting on October 13th at 7:30pm at The Swan.
A few ‘housekeeping’ reminders.
Please
inform the office (ideally before 9:30 am) if:
This
is to ensure that correct numbers are passed on to the kitchen staff for
catering needs.
Similarly,
if you are planning to take your child out of school for a family holiday, this
request must be put in writing to the Head Teacher. Pleased be advised that no
parent has the right to take their child out of school during term time, and
authorisation is at the discretion of the Head Teacher, who can only authorise
up to 10 days per year.
Dinner
money must be sent to school in a clearly labelled envelope or small container
on a Monday morning.
Let’s
Grow!
We
are collecting the Morrisons “Let’s Grow” vouchers
for school this year. Please send them into school with your child and they can
put them in the box outside the office.

Last
year we had a very successful Gardening Club that ran in school during Lunch
Hour. The children have been asking us when Gardening Club will start again,
but unfortunately, both the parent volunteers who ran it have moved. It would
be fantastic if we could start it up again with new parent volunteers,
especially as it will fit in so well with collecting vouchers to get gardening
equipment. If there is anyone out there with a spare lunch time who would like
to run a Gardening Club, please pop into the school office. (We have potatoes
and lettuce that need tending to!)
